Why fall is your skin’s favorite season.

Cooler air, less UV, and the perfect runway to holiday and spring photos. Fall is the strategic season for the treatments that need recovery time — and here’s how we’d build the next four months.

The short answer
  • Fall’s lower UV means less hyperpigmentation risk and built-in recovery time while you’re already indoors.
  • It’s the ideal window to start series treatments — Opus resurfacing, laser hair removal, and chemical peels — so you’re glowing by spring.
  • Laser hair removal takes 6–8 sessions; start now and you’re finished by shorts-and-swimsuit season.
  • Collagen rebuilds over months, so what you start in fall shows up in spring.

The leaves are turning, and the strategic move is to put your face on the schedule. Fall is when the right treatments deliver the most — and when starting now means you’re glowing by spring.

Why fall specifically

  • Less UV exposure = lower risk of post-treatment hyperpigmentation
  • Built-in recovery weeks while you’re already indoors
  • Collagen rebuild happens over months — start now, see results in spring
  • Treatments stacked through fall mean a holiday glow you didn’t have to plan for

Opus Plasma: fractional resurfacing at its sweetest

Opus combines radiofrequency with fractional plasma to resurface the skin in a single 10-to-15-minute session. Compared to traditional CO2 resurfacing, the downtime is days rather than weeks — and the results are visible for months after.

Most patients see real improvement after one session; we typically recommend a series of two to three for deeper texture work. Fall timing means your skin has the full recovery window before any spring or summer sun exposure.

Best for: sun damage, fine lines around the eyes and mouth, mild acne scarring, crepey skin texture. Safe across a wider range of skin tones because Opus targets water content rather than melanin.

Laser hair removal: start now, enjoy spring

Permanent hair reduction requires six to eight sessions spaced four to six weeks apart. Start in fall, and you’re done by spring — exactly when you want to wear shorts, swimsuits, and tank tops.

Laser hair removal also requires sun avoidance for four weeks before and after each session. That’s hard in summer, easy in fall and winter. Our dual-wavelength laser is safe across all Fitzpatrick skin types.

Chemical peels: the foundation work

Fall is when we layer medium and deeper chemical peels into the rotation. The cooler weather gives us the flexibility to use peels that need a few days of recovery without competing with summer plans.

A typical fall cadence: light peel monthly through September, medium peel in October, second medium peel in late November or December. By spring your skin texture, tone, and pigment will be visibly cleaner.

Our fall treatment roadmap

First Opus resurfacing session. Continue laser hair removal on schedule. Add a medium chemical peel if texture is the priority.

November – December

Second Opus session or a follow-up peel. Touch up Botox before the holiday photo gauntlet. Fine-tune for your holiday events.

January – March

Maintenance laser hair removal sessions. Light peels to maintain tone. Begin planning the spring/summer body-contouring work.
