- EmFace strengthens the face’s lifting muscles (HIFES) and builds collagen (RF) — the opposite of Botox’s relaxing effect.
- No needles, no downtime; sessions run ~20 minutes, typically four spaced a week apart.
- Visible lift starts around session two, peaks near 3 months, then maintenance every 3–4 months.
- Best for mild-to-moderate sagging in your 40s–60s; it won’t replace surgery for severe laxity.
How EmFace is different
Most aesthetic treatments work by reducing something — relaxing muscles (Botox), filling lost volume (filler), removing pigment (lasers). EmFace works in the opposite direction. It strengthens the lifting muscles of the face, the same way a workout strengthens the muscles of your body.
The device uses two synchronized technologies: high-intensity focused electrical stimulation (HIFES) to contract the muscles thousands of times per session, and synchronized radiofrequency (RF) to heat the dermis and stimulate collagen rebuilding. The result is lift you can see, and skin firmness you can feel.
The benefits
- No needles, no numbing, no downtime
- Twenty-minute sessions
- Lifts cheek and brow muscles directly — the opposite of Botox’s relaxation effect
- Builds collagen for ongoing skin firmness
- Safe for all skin tones
- Pairs beautifully with Botox or filler if you also use injectables
Submentum: EmFace for the double chin
We also offer EmFace Submentum, a newer applicator that targets the muscle and skin of the submental area (under the chin). For patients with mild-to-moderate jowling or a soft jawline who don’t want filler or surgery, Submentum delivers visible improvement over a four-session series.
It can be combined with the full-face EmFace protocol in the same visit. Total time: thirty to forty minutes.
Who EmFace is right for
Best candidates: patients in their 40s through 60s with mild-to-moderate facial sagging who want lift without injectables. Also great for: patients who want to extend the results of recent Botox or filler. Postpartum patients dealing with mild facial muscle laxity. Anyone who can’t or won’t do needles.
Not a great fit: severe skin laxity that needs surgical removal (we’ll be honest if surgery is the better answer), patients with electronic facial implants, or anyone seeking dramatic single-session transformation.

A free consult gives you a straight answer — including if a different treatment would do more.
What to expect
Each session is twenty minutes. We place patches on your forehead and cheeks, dial up the device, and the targeted muscles begin contracting on their own. You’ll feel the contractions — they’re strange but not painful. Most patients describe the sensation as “a workout for your face.”
A typical protocol is four sessions spaced a week apart. Visible lift starts at session two; peak results land at three months as collagen continues to remodel. Maintenance is one session every three to four months.
