If you’ve seen this before

You’ve seen Opus Plasma done badly.

Most patients who come to Contoured for opus plasma have tried at least one other provider. The recurring patterns:

  • Crepey skin around the eyes that no eye cream has touched.
  • Sun damage texture you’ve given up on.
  • Acne scarring that needs more than microneedling.

That’s not how we work.

What we use, and why

Opus Plasma (Alma, FDA-cleared fractional plasma RF). Conservative dosing. Dr. Lam reviewing every plan.

We use Opus Plasma (Alma, FDA-cleared fractional plasma RF). We chose this specific device/protocol because of clinical evidence, predictability, and our clinical team’s deep experience with it. Every plan is reviewed by our Medical Director, Dr. Benjamin Lam, DO — board-certified plastic surgeon and clinical associate professor at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

What it actually is

Opus Plasma — in plain language.

Opus Plasma creates microscopic columns of plasma energy that penetrate the skin in a precise fractional pattern. The columns resurface the skin and stimulate dramatic new collagen formation in the surrounding untreated tissue.

Unlike fully ablative laser resurfacing (which leaves all of the skin healing at once), Opus leaves untreated tissue between the plasma columns — speeding healing and reducing downtime to 5–7 days versus 2 weeks.

For sun damage texture, fine lines around the eyes and mouth, and mild acne scarring, Opus delivers single-session results that microneedling or peels take a full series to achieve.

“Single-session resurfacing with managed downtime.”

How we work

The Contoured Method — for Opus Plasma.

Every opus plasma patient moves through these four steps. The same way. The same hands.

  1. 01

Free 30-minute consult. We look at the area you want treated, talk about what bothers you, and tell you what we’d do — and what we wouldn’t. No pressure to book that day.

  2. 02

    Plan

A written long-term plan, with package pricing available if it suits. You decide when to come back.

  3. 03

    Treat

Conservative dosing. Precise technique. Same provider each visit. Every plan reviewed by Dr. Lam.

  4. 04

    Track

Photos at follow-up. Notes that travel with you. Year-over-year continuity is the result.

Common questions

The things people ask before booking.

Is it painful?
We numb thoroughly with topical lidocaine for 60 minutes before treatment. Most patients feel pressure and warmth during. The next 48 hours feel like a sunburn.
What’s the downtime?
5–7 days of visible redness and flaking. Most patients schedule on a Thursday or Friday and are presentable by the following Wednesday.
How is this different from CO2 laser?
Both are resurfacing. Opus uses plasma RF; CO2 uses light energy. Opus typically has 30% less downtime than CO2 for similar results. Different doctors prefer different tools — we picked Opus for the downtime advantage.
How many sessions will I need?
Most patients see results in 1 session. Deeper acne scarring or significant sun damage may benefit from a second session 6 weeks later.
Can I do this every year?
Yes — annual treatment is well-tolerated and slows the visible aging of skin significantly.
From Wilmington

Patients from Wilmington at Contoured.

Most Wilmington patients tried at least one other provider — either downtown Wilmington or the Trolley Square area — before finding Contoured. The recurring story we hear: they wanted same-injector continuity, conservative dosing, and a real physician supervising their care, and they weren’t finding all three in one place. We do all three by design.

Getting here: 20-minute drive via I-95 N to US-202 N (about 14 miles). Free parking at Old Ridge Village.

Same hands. Booked individually.
